Turn your question about society into a TEIGEN.
TEIGEN JP is recruiting the fourth cohort of Questioners
to run the 2026 year with us.
TEIGEN JP works toward
a world where young people can put a TEIGEN to society.
We run the Mock Ward Mayoral Election, staged in the ward office and the assembly chamber,
outreach classes in elementary, middle and high schools, cleanup education, and work alongside government and assembly members.
The banner for 2026 is "go deeper".
To take everything we have built
and make it stronger, wider and better able to reach people,
we are looking for about ten more people.
Plan and run a civic education event that takes over the ward office and the assembly chamber, entirely with students
Move a project forward alongside serving assembly members, officials, the board of education and the election commission
Through outreach classes in middle and high schools, give people your own age and younger the experience of treating politics and society as theirs
Through social media, graphics and documents, grow what TEIGEN JP thinks and does into a brand that actually reaches people
Go deeper into your own line of inquiry, through sessions with members who have been through comprehensive-selection admissions, outside competitions and speaking opportunities

A student organization working on civic education and teenage participation in public life, driven by the gap in who gets opportunities. Our mission: every teenager should get to meet the person they have not yet become. Around forty high school and university students from Tokyo and the three neighbouring prefectures run it. Our programs include the Mock Ward Mayoral Election — held in the ward office and the assembly chamber, taking participants from drafting policy through candidacy to the count — and Osouji-tai, which builds a sense of ownership over shared space through cleaning. More than 1,000 people have now learned how democracy feels from the inside.
