Part 1: drafting policy and arguing it out
Middle and high school students from across the country split into six groups and began preparing their campaigns. A university student facilitator in each group led the icebreaker, and from there, working from basic data about Adachi, they drafted manifestos exactly as in a real election.
After lunch, Adachi assembly members joined the groups as advisers, and each team sharpened its policy on the back of pointed, precise advice from a serving politician.

A student organization working on youth participation and civic education, with the mission of giving every teenager the chance to meet a self they have not yet met. Founded in Adachi, Tokyo in 2023; 38 high school and university students from 22 different schools across the Tokyo area take part.
