Our executive director, Soka Horii, met Stephen Mensah, Executive Director of the Toronto Youth Cabinet, at Toronto City Hall in Canada.
The Toronto Youth Cabinet is an official body of the city and one of the largest youth advocacy bodies in the world, putting proposals to the city and running workshops from a young person's perspective. The meeting covered what each of us does and how we might work together, among much else.
Stephen Mensah said afterward that it had been an honor to hear about Horii's passion and determination to see young people's voices reflected in Tokyo's decisions.
TEIGEN JP will go on building serious work and exchange between young people across borders.

A student organization working on youth participation and civic education, with the mission of giving every teenager the chance to meet a self they have not yet met. Founded in Adachi, Tokyo in 2023; 38 high school and university students from 22 different schools across the Tokyo area take part.
