The focus goal on our certificate
Through mock elections and school visits, we bring teenagers active learning in which they develop policy, debate it, and experience standing for election themselves.
Sustainability
This is our SDGs vision: every teenager, wherever they live and whatever school they attend, should have the chance to ask questions and put proposals to society. In July 2025, in recognition of our work, Adachi City certified us as an Adachi SDGs Partner.
Why We Commit
The SDGs’ promise to “leave no one behind” looks in the same direction as our mission: to give every teenager the chance to meet a self they have not yet discovered. Whether a young person ever gets to ask questions of society should not depend on where they live, their family, or the school they attend. Closing that gap in opportunity is at the heart of our work on the SDGs.

Our Goals
The focus goal declared on our registration certificate is Goal 4, Quality Education. Through our programs, we also contribute to three other goals.

Through mock elections and school visits, we bring teenagers active learning in which they develop policy, debate it, and experience standing for election themselves.

In the Mock Ward Mayoral Election, participants build policies from the issues in their own community; in Osouji-tai, children look after their classroom and their town with their own hands.

Staged in the ward office and the assembly chamber, participants go from candidacy to the vote count, experiencing participatory decision-making (Target 16.7) while still in their teens.

Our programs take shape through co-hosting with the Adachi City Election Administration Commission, support from the Adachi City Board of Education, cooperation from the Adachi City Assembly, and curriculum support from Duskin Co., Ltd., among others.

Our Approach

01
Spreading a blank sheet of paper across the table with teammates and filling it with colored pens: what runs through all of our activities is active learning, in which participants think, talk, and build things themselves. Rather than memorizing right answers, they ask questions and construct answers, building the strength to thrive in the times ahead.

02
At the Mock Ward Mayoral Election, sitting ward assembly members join each team and help participants rethink issues through dialogue and advice. With our own method, Paradigm Change Time, teams re-examine their policies from other standpoints and experience deliberation that questions their own certainty. Each person’s question becomes a policy, contributing to communities where people can keep living well.

03
The Mock Ward Mayoral Election does not fix a single issue in advance. Starting from their own interests, such as climate change or peace education, participants research the current situation and draft policy. Each in their own way, they turn the SDGs from words in a textbook into actions of their own.

04
In our elementary school program “Protect Our Town! Osouji-tai,” children look after their classroom and town with their own hands and come to see themselves as people who help shape their community. We developed the curriculum with support from Duskin Co., Ltd. and held the first session in December 2025 at Adachi Elementary School in Adachi City, with three fifth-grade classes, about 100 pupils in total.
